A Walk on a Winter’s Day, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, 1974-2014.

This group of seven photographs are from a larger series of negatives made on a morning walk through the West End of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. At the time, unexpected shadows and highlights caused by faulty film processing limited my interest in the images. But 40 years on, these blemishes have become as much part of the work as the scarred urban landscapes that they interrupt.
